Couchbase – Develop with Agility and Less Compromises

Using a (NoSQL) document oriented database shouldn't require you to compromise your data model for flexibility of data access. To learn where document databases are going, join this session.

About This Session

Free yourself of compromise! Until recently the world of Document Databases and for that matter the world of NoSQL is often talked about as a great platform for flexibility and scaling, but with compromises in data access. Couchbase Server is a multi model, general purpose database that can be used as a managed cache tier, a key-value store, and a document database based on JSON. It is designed for interactive, online applications with low latency, scale and built-in high-availability. In this talk, Matt will tour some of the capabilities of the upcoming Couchbase Server 4.0. In the new release, Couchbase is introducing a new query language named N1QL, which extends SQL to JSON document querying. Java, Node.js and .NET developers (among others) can use all of this power as they build applications with RxJava, the Couchbase Ottoman ODM or just in .NET with LINQ. Come to this session ready to read code and watch demos that will give you a sense of where Couchbase fits in with the modern applications you are building.
