Software engineer at Mint.com since its inception. Has played a pivotal role in developing Mint's code base. Loves coding, and writing, thinking, and presenting engineering problems that involve new technologies and ways to make systems more performant and scalable.
Being the one of the first engineers at Mint.com, I've had the unique experience of helping evolve the engineering architecture from a simple Java application to a multi-tiered web service that is able to support over 500k users. The purpose of this session is to discuss the key phases (prototyping, tiering, and scaling) that have helped create a successful and sustainable web service.
