Why you should cry if you're still coding in Java. <br/> This session should be of interest to Java programmers who want to learn about how you can write better code, and less code using Scala as a drop-in replacement for Java. It will cover a number of the most interesting and powerful features of Scala, how to use the REPL (Read Eval Print Loop) to make your life easier, introduce some concepts from functional programming, and Scala's actor-based approach to concurrency.
